Main plans for 2010

The sustainable development action plan will cover the following issues: sustainable development governance, the new constructions policy, internal purchases, environmental renovation of historic buildings and the energy effi ciency of the real estate assets.

The initial action items currently approved have as their priority:

- undertaking a mapping of the real estate assets, from an energy perspective, but also from environmental and health perspectives.

the mapping will make it possible to continue the work on raising the value of the real estate assets begun in 2005 with as new performance criteria building resource consumption (energy and water), the equipment enabling measured building management (centralised technical management, sorting areas) as well as its advantages in terms of comfort and health;

- the development of internal tools that will help with the application of sustainable construction, by making HQE® certifi cation for new constructions standard and by developing a sustainable renovation concept for the Haussmann-style properties.

A BBC renovation pilot project by unit will be looked at in partnership with an engineering fi rm, with a view to the achievement of “sustainable renovation” adapted to the Haussmann-style properties;

Responsible purchasing criteria will gradually be built into the ANF internal policy thanks to the adding of environmental, labour and health clauses to its specifi cations.
